So we went from:
Cop to Mike Brown "Get the f#ck on the sidewalk" to NOW suddenly claiming he was "primary robbery suspect" (this smells)
So I guess in Ferguson, Missouri, where you have militant cops:
- using tear gas against journalists,
- disassembling reporters videos,
- bashing reporters heads in McDonald's windows,
- arresting reporters and elected officials
... it is standard procedure to instantaneously yell "get the fuck on the sidewalk" and issue the Death Sentence by filling them with bullets if that person is alleged to be a robbery suspect.
The same police department who requested a "
No Fly Zone" over their city are suddenly saying that Michael Brown was a "
primary robbery suspect" in a convenient store just moments before he was killed by a cop.
... hmmm
Robbery suspect?
pssst ... Police documents allege that Michael Brown was suspected of stealing a box of cigars that police documents show valued at $48.99 (not even a felony).
First:
The Ferguson police do not dispute that the cop yelled "get the fuck on the sidewalk." And, Ferguson Police Chief, Thomas Jackson, described the cop's encounter with Brown to the St. Louis Post Dispatch as
CHIEF JACKSON: "routine patrol encounter. It was just a clear-the-road type of incident."
~Ferguson Police Chief Jackson
Notice, Chief Jackson did not even bother to mention Mike Brown may have been a suspect of stealing a $48.99 box of cigars.
Second:
Next, Police upped the ante and claimed Brown was fighting to get the cop's gun .... wooooo scary, huh ... big black man fighting to get a cop's gun.
St. Louis County Chief of Police Jon Belmar said the incident started when Brown physically assaulted the police officer, pushing him into the officer's vehicle. [So it did not start with Brown being a "primary robbery suspect"] He said there was a struggle inside the car, and at some point Brown reached for the officer's weapon. One shot was fired inside the vehicle.
Brown suffered fatal gunshot wounds outside of the vehicle, approximately 35 feet from the car.
Belmar confirmed Brown was unarmed at the time of the shooting. He did not say what led to the struggle inside the officer's car.
Notice, Chief Belmar did not say that Brown was a "primary robbery suspect" and that that is "what led to the struggle" over the gun?
.... hmmmm
So, if the cop yelling "get the fuck on the sidewalk" and Brown fighting a cop for his gun wasn't scary enough for you to be glad the cop murdered an unarmed teenager, then surely to gawd telling you that Brown was the "primary suspect in a robbery" over a $48.99 box of cigars will make you hate Brown and be glad that cop murdered him, without due process, right?
But I wonder, is there an audio tape of the cop who killed Brown calling in to the police station and telling them that he has spotted the alleged "primary robbery suspect?"
Oh wait ... I'm sure if there were an audio of that Belmar and Johnson would have told us that instead of saying it was a "routine patrol encounter. It was just a clear-the-road type of incident" and saying they do "not know what led to the struggle inside the car."
How convenient.
Another convenient thing in Ferguson, MO is dashboard cameras are not used in Ferguson police cars, so no police-generated recordings of events exist. But, fear not, because they sure as hell have enough military weapons to cause a media black-out as they (police) declare war on their citizens who protest when a cop kills an unarmed teenager.
Sean Hannity told Cornel West that the cop who shot and killed Mike Brown was innocent until proven guilty.
HANNITY: Let me ask you something, do you believe people are innocent in America until proven guilty?
WEST: They should be.
HANNITY: That police officer is assumed innocent?
WEST: He should have a fair trial.
HANNITY: And you just called him [the cop] a terrorist and convicted him without the benefit of a trial.
WEST: Because the bullet came from someone, and it --
HANNITY: You don't know the circumstances. Do you? You weren't there.
WEST: You got a good point. It's hard for me to conceive --
HANNITY: He's assumed innocent.
WEST: He's assumed innocent. But a precious child has been killed.
So I wonder, will Hannity say the cop is, in fact, a murderer because he, the cop, did not presume Michael Brown was "assumed innocent" of stealing a box of cigars and simply shot and killed him without Due Process?
.... hmmmm ... we shall see what Hannity says about that cop not granting Michael Brown the assumption of innocence.
Speaking of Due Process.
DUE PROCESS DOES NOT APPLY IN FERGUSON, MO.
... and, apparently, neither does the First Amendment.
You see, if you live in Ferguson, MO. and if you are a "primary robbery suspect" for stealing a box of cigars, then you will not get due process, and you are not considered "innocent until proven guilty in a Court of law" and you will ... will ... be issued the Death Sentence on sight.
Ok? Got it?
The lack of Due Process in Ferguson, MO from a militarized police force should scare the crap out of all Americans, including Sean Hannity.
Yeah, something smells really, really bad in Ferguson, MO and I don't think it's the tear gas residue.
