solves the Ferguson Police Department's crowd control problems:
Why the use of tear gas, stun grenades? Why not perhaps use water cannon? At least it's not going to have the same sort of effect.
Genius! I was thinking that they should just T.P. the crowd, but this is so much better. I mean, what could be a more effective crowd-control tool than offering a gentle spritz of water at 290 psi on a warm summer night?
Well, maybe a better crowd control technique would start with a police force that doesn't shoot and kill unarmed teenagers and that doesn't close ranks to protect itself when one of its officers does. Maybe leading an open and honest and transparent investigation into what happened would give citizens faith that justice would be served and that the system can work. Maybe the problem isn't that they used tear gas instead of water cannons, it's that they treat the community as the enemy instead of as a partner.
