I can't stand it. I have retreated from news into the sweet balm of Henri videos.

These people make me crazy. Henri is right.

What is wrong with America? Shootings everywhere, people that I think are otherwise smart and ok, telling me that "that boy was a bully". This was a statement from my mother, who I am now taking care of, a lot. She can't get out of bed, or dress herself without help, so I help. She is 82. I braced her, even though I don't like to do that, she's very feeble and I feel sorry for her. But she did listen, and even agreed with me that no matter what Michael Brown has done, he didn't deserve to DIE for it.

I have to do this all the time. Sigh. Take care of my very aged parents and at the same time get on their case about their racist tropes. They are not as radical about this as they used to be (and neither one of them watches Fox News - regular news is quite enough to enforce their racist crap), but it is still depressing how they will NEVER give over on this idea that the cops are right, and any - ANY - black person who runs afoul of them is wrong.

I love my Mom and Dad, but DAYUM - this is Minnesota, and I'm sorry to say that I understand why this state would actually elect a Michelle Bachmann - enough gerrymandering and you can do it anywhere. And her district will undoubtedly put up Tom Emmer (blech) this year. You know, that is the district that includes both St. Cloud and Stillwater - haha wtf - no gerrymandering THERE for sure.

I wish I had had a chance to see the Walker Art Center cat video fest this year. Although of course, Henri videos are way beyond cat videos - they are an art form unto themselves.

Let's hope L'Imbecile Blanc (whatever white TP idiot gets the nomination) doesn't win this fall. (Not that I'm knocking Henri's Imbecile Blanc, who looks like a totally sweet kitty).

Henri for President

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
