Received this e-mail today from Andrew Romanoff's (D. CO-06) campaign today who is in a tight race to unseat Birther Congressman Mike Coffman (R. CO-06):
Are you tuned in? We’re launching a new television ad today, and we need to decide by 5 p.m. how many people will be able to see it.
The ad focuses on an important issue: keeping the doors of college open to students of every background. If that message matters to you, I could use your help.
Payment for next week’s advertising is due at 5 p.m. today. You can help us reach more viewers by contributing right now.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

As a community college teacher and a legislative leader, I fought to expand access to higher education. But for too many families, the cost of college -- so often the ticket to the middle class -- is soaring beyond reach.
Washington can’t solve this problem on its own, but it doesn’t have to make the problem worse. Instead of cutting financial aid -- and offering ever-more tax breaks to those at the top -- Congress ought to make student loans available at rates middle-class families can actually afford.
Will you help us deliver that message by chipping in $5 or more right now?

This isn’t a Democratic idea or a Republican idea; it’s just a good idea. We could use more of those in Congress.
Sincerely,
Andrew Romanoff
PS: Our team will be reviewing our budget and making a final decision on next week’s ad buy at 5 p.m. Can we hear back from you before then?
