Yesterday I wrote a diary that placed the blame for the tragic incident of a young girl accidentally killing a shooting instructor with an UZI handheld sub machine gun on full automatic. (I can't even believe I'm writing that sentence but that's what happened).  I spoke with Rep Huizenga's Washington office staff yesterday and told them about my post on this site.

I've been writing on these pages for many years but yesterday's post went crazy 400 recommends in my tip jar WOW! never had that before, thank you.

Anyway, his staff told me that it was very unfair to blame the congressman and that my post was "factually inaccurate" because the Congressman actually favors common sense gun reform.  You can imagine my surprise, so I said that could not be true since I had never seen a bill that he has voted on or sponsored or co-sponsored that could verify that contention.  "Could you please tell me which bill the congressman supports", "well uh...", yeah that's what I thought.

The reason that I blame Rep Huizenga, whom I believe to be an honest and good man is simple.  Rep Huizenga is a complete fraud.  A good and decent, honest man does not sit on his hands and do nothing when his country needs him to use the power of his office to change wrongs to rights.

Rep Huizenga is the WORST kind of Republican politician.  Rep Huizenga, IMO, knows better, he is not a wild eyed right wing kook.  Rep Huizenga votes 100% Republican Party line no matter what he personally believes because he knows that if he strays from that line he WILL BE PRIMARIED.  That is exactly why he needs to be replaced, that is why I suggest we bring in millions of dollars and thousands of professional GOTV operatives to take away a safe Republican seat, to send a message to the other Republican Pawns who just occupy a seat in Congress to be a reliable vote for the NRA, Koch Industries, AFP, Club for Growth, and Karl Rove and Dick Cheneys neo-cons.

Someone asked me yesterday if his opponent was a viable candidate.  His opponent is Dean Vanderstelt a Spring Lake Businessman whom I have not met but I support whole heartedly.  Many of you are activists and you know well that a candidate is viable if he gets an army of supporters behind him and in an off year election anything is possible with proper financing, please help. Let's retire one of these do nothing Republican congressmen who wake up every morning and ask themselves "How do I keep from getting primaried today" and replace him with a man like Dean Vanderstelt who will wake up every morning and ask "How can I make a difference in the lives of my constituents"

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
