Republicans believe that just because they mention God,are against abortion and against gay marriage that that's all it takes to be a Christian. If you think about it Satan would be  considered a god by believers. He would be against abortion,so they can live and commit sin. He would also be against gay marriage since they cannot reproduce and create future sinners.Since both Republicans and Satanist could be one in the same let's go further into Bible teachings.Republicans mock the poor, therefore insulting God.Republicans believe in dividing people when the Bible says "how can a divided house cast out Satan?" Republicans believe in lieing to get your way,The Bible says that God doesn't want liars in his sight.Republicans believe that the wealthy need not pay taxes,The Bible says that the wealthy should pay more of what God has given them.Republicans claim to hate those not like themselves ,when the Bible says that if you claim to love God but hate your neighbor you are a liar, since you cannot love God whom you have never seen and hate someone you have.Thses are just a few comparrisans and it sure seems that Republicans are Satanists.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  I'm sorry, but the comparison is unfair. (14+ / 0-)

It is utterly reprehensible to compare Republicans to Satanists! Satanistst have feelings, after all.

  •  I think you misspelled lying. (3+ / 0-)

And there are typos with "these" and "comparisons", at the end.
My own spelling is terrible. I even misspelled "misspelled" at first in the subject line of this comment! I figured you'd want to know, though. I don't know if there's a spell check on DK, but my browser is set up to underline in red when I spell something incorrectly. That helps me. So many here are such meticulous writers (and spellers), I feel the need to try my best.

Of course, if something isn't underlined in red, I might miss my error. That's my disclaimer for the above paragraph. :)

I am not a satanist. And I won't defend parts of the satanic ideology by any means. But as a metalhead, I necessarily have to have some knowledge of it, since there are a lot of great metal bands out there that sing about Satan. Most of them are not actually what we would call theological satanists -- rather, they use satanism as a metaphor against Christianity. In particular, satanists stand opposed to what they regard as the authoritarianism of Christianity.

But there is theological satanic metal too. It is actually pretty rare, but those bands that really, truly believe in it also, not coincidentally, generate some of the most disturbing and technically adept metal in the world. Here's a song from one of the most well-known and well-respected theological satanic bands in the world, France's Deathspell Omega. This band is the real deal. I do not follow their ideology, but I follow their music. This song will give you nightmares, but if you're a drummer or guitarist, the technical skill and creativity on display here may blow you away. Particularly the drumming. I've never heard anything else like it.

I'm a black metal fan but I'd never gotten around to checking out these guys before. I really like how chiming the guitars are. The riffing is very creative and the composition is very well put together. Thanks for posting this; I think I'll look into them more.

      •  Cheers (0+ / 0-)

I highly recommend checking them out more. This is from Paracletus, their latest and greatest album, but all of their work is worth checking out. And yes, the guitar work in this particular song really stands out. I had never heard anything like it before. I love the contrast between the extremely fast drumming and the odd, slow ringing chords of the guitar work.

The philosophy is very close to Ayn Rand.

It's even been suggested that Anton LaVey plagiarized Atlas Shrugged.

I can only reference the type of "Satanism" promoted by The Satanic Temple...but

TST are pro choice, Republicans are NOT

TST are pro science, believing that evolution and climate change are fact. They believe that science is science, and faith has no place in science classes. They believe that science education is an essential part of all students curriculum. Republicans do NOT

TST are pro marriage equality for all. Republicans are not and hate "teh Gayz".

TST are pro sexual equality. Republicans are most definitely a pack of misogynistic bigots.

TST are pro racial equality. Republicans are racist bigots.

TST are pro social progress. Republicans are conservative troglodytes who want progress reversed.

TST campaigns against child abuse, beating and bullying of kids. Republicans love to lay on the belt and hand, and love to offer bullies and abusers cover.

TST maintain that while freedom is an essential part of any society, that comes hand in hand with personal responsibility and a implied duty towards making a better society for all. Republicans do NOT.

TST maintain that a secular society is a fair society, and that faith should play no part in politics. Republicans promote the exact opposite - a Christo-fascist theocracy would be their preferred model.

So no..... Republicans are the exact opposite of Satanists.

And Im damn sure I know which one is really the evil enemy.

If you consider The Satanic Temple as your example of Satanism rather than the far more Ayn Randian views of Anton Szandor LaVey, then it's quite possible to oppose both actual, Gospel-backed Christianity and Satanic Temple Satanism at the same time!

Seems that the American Right, today's Republican Party, has done just that......

"We're into Satan. You want evil, the local Republican headquarters is located....."

There are Satanists of all political persuasions, but members of The Satanic Temple are generally progressives. By contrast, the Church of Satan is more libertarian in its tenets. Strictly speaking, a member of either organization (and others besides) could fall almost anywhere on the political spectrum, but generally you'd expect a Republican to fit in better with CoS and a Democrat with TST, generally speaking.

The majority of Satanists are not theological in their belief system (in other words they are atheists) and are not simply inverting Biblical teachings. Satan is not an externally existing entity, but rather a symbol of rebellion against accepted injustice and of obtaining knowledge in a society where ignorance is a virtue. For a Satanist, the concept of "sin" is rejected and life is lived to its fullest. This can manifest in a CoS-style "selfishness is good!" attitude or in more of a "this is the only life you get so don't waste it" perspective.

Most theological or spiritual Satanists I've met were not terribly different from atheistic Satanists in their views, other than the added component of believing in a real, spiritual entity. In general, this entity is not worshiped; it is seen as a guide instead of a dominating force.

Some claim that the entire point is to piss off Christians, but honestly most Satanists of all stripes are private in their views and affiliations for obvious reasons.

If you read the bible, however, with your morality glasses on, it is pretty plain that "God/Yahweh" is actually Satan. I mean really, killing millions of people when you get mad at them????

Actually, that's a serious, undeserved insult -- to Satan!

      One example:

Satan (the Serpent) told Eve the truth in the Garden. When she acted according to that truth, "God" got pissed off and evicted her and Adam.
