A couple of weeks ago the KosKats met up at the lake. Well, 6 of us did at any rate.

Patrick is Lucky, Mr. and Ms. Sow Hat
Patrick is Lucky, Zentrainer, Mr. and Ms. Sow Hat and the anonymous duo.
This was just after our primary and Sow Hat brought printed out election stats that were fun, interesting and horrifying to read.
The Democrats aren’t even trying here. We talked about how to get someone with some sense in here running our state party. I had a name in mind - Mary Mancini.
She ran for state Senate and made a pretty good showing in my opinion, especially from a non establishment person. I think it was 47 – 51. I got to thinking that maybe she would do more good running the Democratic Party here in TN than just being 1 lonely Democratic voice in our Senate.
I mentioned this at our lunch and it turns out someone had heard that she IS going to try to do this. I’ve had this confirmed by a close friend of hers.
I have stayed away from them for years (The Tennessee Democratic Party). They don’t seem to do much or get much done.
There is a long list of people more patient than I who would like to get involved and change the direction or help get it in gear at any rate. That’s a plus. With good leadership we may actually get somewhere.
I address the crowd but no ones cares. Maybe I need amplification on that hairbrush.
I believe Sow Hat is even pretending she doesn't know me.
The other thing we talked about is Moral Mondays. I’d like to really concentrate on getting our legislature to force our Governor to accept expanded Medicaid for our state. I need big time help for that. Most of the KosKats who came to this meet-up don’t live in Nashville, they are on the outskirts. So we need some more local KosKats to step up.
It does seem like one of the keys to the success of Moral Mondays is to get churches involved. I’m sure we have some dynamic ministers here but as an atheist, I only know a few and not that well. I’m not quite sure where to start so anyone with any advice please jump in.
We also talked bad about anyone who didn’t show up at the meeting and I talked bad about the band. I don’t care if this is Music City, can’t I eat by the lake and just listen to the water???
When can we meet up again? Where do you want to do it? And please, no bands!
Food pron:
Fried pickles - it's a Southern thang
At least one of us ate healthy!
