Tonight voters in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island go to the polls for state and federal party primaries, while New York will hold a primary for state-level offices only (the federal primary was in June). Delaware is also up, but there isn't much to see there.
Our guide to the key races can be found here. Polls start to close in New Hampshire at 7 PM ET, and we'll be bringing you tonight's results as they come in. You can keep track of the winners just below.
Results & Poll Closing Times (all times Eastern):
6:40 PM PT: NY-Gov, LG: About 3 percent is in, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo leads Zephyr Teachout 62-33 for governor, while former Rep. Kathy Hochul leads Tim Wu 64-36. Note that almost all the votes are coming from upstate New York, with nothing from New York City. Hochul's base is in Upstate and Wu needs to clean up in the city to have a shot.
6:46 PM PT: NY-LG: New York City is coming in and things don't look good for Wu at all. Hochul is leading him by double digits or fighting him to a tie in each borough. Wu needed a big win there to offset Hochul's dominance upstate and that's not happening at all.
6:48 PM PT: MA-Gov: 57 percent in and Coakley leads 42-37. Not nearly as dominant as the polls made her look, but a win is a win if she pulls this off as expected.
6:50 PM PT: Here's an excellent source for NYC election results, from WNYC.
6:53 PM PT: NH-02: The AP has finally called the GOP primary for Garcia. She currently leads Lambert by a hefty 50-28. Democratic Rep. Ann Kuster starts out as the clear favorite here.
6:57 PM PT: NY-Gov, LG: 14 percent in statewide and Cuomo leads Teachout 63-33. Conventional wisdom said Cuomo was worried he'd face embarrassment if he took less than 70 percent. In the LG race, Hochul has a 64-36 lead.
6:58 PM PT: MA-Gov: 67 percent reporting and Coakley still leads 42-37.
7:10 PM PT (David Nir): NY State Senate: We only have a small share of the vote reporting in various state Senate races, but here's where things stands:
• In SD-34, state Sen. Jeff Klein, the leader of the renegade IDC, has a small 56-44 lead on Ollie Koppell.
• In SD-11, IDC state Sen. Tony Avella currently leads John Liu 53-47.
• In SD-19, Corruptocrat John Sampson seems to be getting saved by the clown car. He's up 52-31 on Dell Smitherman
• However, in SD-14, fellow Corruptocrat Malcolm Smith is getting obliterated 74-17 by Leroy Comrie in the early going.
• In SD-31, state Sen. Adriano Espaillat, who unsuccessfully challenged Rep. Charlie Rangel earlier this year, is unexpectedly trailing Robert Jackson 46-45 with 29% reporting.
• And in SD-60 in upstate New York, Democrat-turned-Republican state Sen. Mark Grisanti is losing to Kevin Stocker 58-42. A Grisanti loss could enhance Democratic pickup prospects in this swingy seat.
7:13 PM PT: MA-Gov: About 75 percent in, and Coakley leads 42-36.
7:15 PM PT: The liveblog continues here.
