Who knows what dark-moneyed political group is behind this malicious, hate-filled front. It could be Iranian, it could be Russian, it might be the Koch Brothers or Karl Rove.
The State Senate race in Washington LD 30 is a very important one in 2014. It is one of the races in a state cited in Balletpedia as a state legislative battleground.
Democrat Shari Song and now Republican Mark Miloscia are battling for the former senate seat of Tracey Eide. In the August primary it became evident that Song, a relative newcomer to the state political scene, was doing very well against Miloscia, an old pro who has worked the 30th LD diligently for quite a number of elections. Song pulled in a little over 43% of the primary vote, a good showing. It appeared, especially because of the importance of the state senate races in Washington State and maintaining the Republican balance of power, that a little bit of down and dirty was indicated.
Enter the faux front, a group, or possibly person, calling itself Working Families, based in Sammamish, which had the bucks to do quite a number of pricey, glossy mailings during the course of the primary campaign:
This entity has absolutely no connection with a national group, Working Families, based in New York, which concerns itself with affordable housing, fighting climate change, reforming criminal justice, making higher education debt free, fair taxation, quality public education, accessible health care, a livable minimum wage, getting money out of politics, paid sick days for workers — the list goes on and on and is one that Jesus Christ the social justice advocate would recommend.
However, the only purpose for existence of the Sammamish group is sending out ugly photo-chopped portrayals of Song that contain malicious lies about her.
Here is what I know about Working Families in Sammamish: its location is a post office box, No. 104, at the post office located at 704 228th Ave. NE, Sammamish, WA 98074. It has a phone number, (206) 617-9762, the voicemail of one Jeff (Jefferson) Davis.
Politics as usual. And the ongoing mucky hand of the SCOTUS five injustices busily at work in Washington State.
