BosKos meetups - they're kinda special.
We've met at the the border, where we dined on TexMex, and we met on the waterfront, where we confronted barking crabs during a blizzard. We've even been spotted dining on falafel at a location that served tasty Lebanese fare. (Nobody brought loufas. Neither Bill O'Reilly or his Fox News hit crack squad showed up to ambush anyone. And the coffee was definitely good.)
A few Boston Kossacks were also found co-mingling with their fellow New England Kossacks at a recent BBQ at a secure undisclosed location. Several of these attendees are also rumored to have attended an unassociated "meetup" that predates the official formation of their group: it was several years ago, in yet another secure, undisclosed location, and echoes of the revelry are still spoken of in hushed whispers, fond (foggy) memories and across a variety of personal journals and police blotters...
Good times, good times...
...and now, this. A new meetup. A new location. And a new announcement.
The initial announcement for the upcoming meetup was in the comments section of the September 18 edition of Connect! Unite! Act! -
Boston & NE Kossacks - Quincy, MA Meetup
September 27th. Details to follow - probably at Appleby's across from the North Quincy MBTA station.
It's a birthday weekend (not saying who, or how old), and we've got a brand-spankin' new Boston Kossack (or, by that time, TWO!), so I'm relatively certain we'll have at least 3 attendees (if not 4 - possibly more if we're lucky).
...since BosKos meetups traditionally manage to wrangle only 3-4 people per session, I'm hoping we can double or triple the average and have a few folks show who haven't made it to previous meetups PLUS get all (most?) of the Kossacks who ever attended a BosKos meetup in the past.
Think we can pull it off?
This is the more formal version of that - the place remains the same; the start time will be 3 pm (I'll likely appear between 2-2:30, just in case) and will end a few hours later (depending on whether we're ready to conclude, or tossed out, or rounded up & rousted).
If you get the chance and are in the neighborhood, drop in. We'd love to have you.
There is nothing below the fold.
