NBC News/Marist polls are out with new numbers in the Kansas race for U.S. Senator and Independent Greg Orman's lead continues to grow:
The Kansas poll, which shows Roberts trailing 38 percent to Orman’s 48 percent, is full of bad news for the incumbent and for Republicans, who have suddenly seen Roberts’ sleepy re-election race turn into a very real pickup opportunity for Democrats if Orman decides to caucus with them.
Of course, Orman has NOT committed to caucusing with Democrats. Nonetheless, the poll continues to reflect the realities of the sentiment of Kansas voters. Enough is enough:
“He’s in a great deal of trouble out there,” Marist pollster Lee Miringoff said of Roberts. “He’s got high negatives, his intensity of support is low, he’s losing independents by more than two to one. His to-do list is rather large in the remaining time before Election Day.”
The same poll shows Democrat Paul Davis leading Sam Brownback in the race for governor by a
44 percent-43 percent among likely voters.
The poll did not take the temperature of the race for secretary of state, which features Daily Kos-endorsed Jean Schodorf versus Kris Kobach–the worst secretary of state in the nation. We've got a great opportunity in Kansas to help Republicans go 0-for-3 in key races.
Can you chip in $5 to help elect Jean Schodorf and put another nail in the Kansas GOP coffin?
