Imagine, and I have been there more than I can count, a totally sleepless night with a sick baby. Imagine crying all night along with the wee one and taking temperatures and cleaning up vomit along with running tepid baths.
This is called motherhood. Now imagine finally getting the baby down to sleep along with the temp to normal and snoozing one hour before the alarm clock buzzes waking you and the baby up and you want to scream, " Please, let me rest". only to get a cup of coffee, run a comb through your hair, put on your cleanest slacks and blouse because you still need to do laundry and if you are lucky, the sitter or day care is there since the child has no fever. You really have no choice but to go to work because the rent is due, or there are few groceries, or they might cut off a vital utility. YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. All you want is to get a sick day paid for this day off. You don't want to see money missing from your paycheck and you don't want to lose your job. ( Florida is a right to work state)...you don't have to give an employer a reason to fire you.
How is this whole disgusting protrayal picture of reality and being Mama important at the voting booth?
Because Rick Scott's mother stated before she passed in the last election that Ricky was a good boy. Really? I am quite sure Baby Face Nelson or Al Capone's Mother thought the same thing as they waded through puddles of blood. Scott has left puddlea of blood on his own yet, " He is a good boy". But only from a Mother's perspective. We all are dodging the blood puddles when so many have fallen through the medicaid gap.
Huffington Post wrote this article some time back and I thought
we need to revisit just more reason not to allow Scott back in Florida's statehouse

Despite letters from Gloria Steinem and strollers full of petitions left at his Tallahassee office, Rick Scott signed a law overriding any earned sick leave ordinances on the local level on Friday.
Critics see the controversial legislation as underscoring Scott's commitment to corporate special interests -- the bill was backed by Walt Disney and Olive Garden parent company -- as well as his apathy towards Florida's working families.
"
The fact that Rick Scott signed this anti-middle class, anti-family bill into law, then jumped on a plane to France, proves that the governor of Florida does not care about working middle class families and he knows how unpopular and damaging this bill is," Amy Ritter of Florida Watch Action told the Orlando Sentinel
Many men are caregivers as well so this does not just pertain to women but there are so many single working moms, and this sent a clear message to the working people that you just don't matter in Florida under Rick Scott.
I never told a potential boss that I would be present everyday and more than likely would be out because I was family first. I have no clue how many jobs that I did not get because one of the questions asked was, do you have small children? I always took offense to the question. Yes I had small chidlren and was also the sole bread winner with no enforced child support.
I loved the part in the article where it stated Rick Scott signed the anti family bill into law and then hopped on a plane to France. How did this jerk sleep knowing when it came to family values and the working poor, he chose the jet set while Mama's and Daddy's are struggling and cleaning up vomit and changing bedsheets and needed just another hour's sleep without more stress. Of course Rick Scott sided with Mickey Mouse..everyone should know just how much he makes Goofy look like Einstein.
Hey Ricky, did you ever appreciate your Mama for wiping your butt when she was sick?
My guess, is no. My guess is probably right on target considering he has a brother named Roger living in Texas in a small apartment with a mental illness that he has all but disowned. Compassion does not run through this man's veins.
Vote Scott out come Nov. Do it for your Mama.

8:39 AM PT: Do not waste your vote on Wylie...He is a spoiler and has no chance to win. Do not let his stand on Amendment 2 of the Marijuana law sway you.
Crist is for Amendment 2 and be ever so sure, this is between dem and republican candidates. Pick another year to vote third party...Florida cannot handle more of this tea hat.
