Erick Erickson is quite upset about a recent internet ad blaming Republicans for budget cuts to the NIH, the CDC, and other health organizations resulting in the nation's lack of preparedness for the ebola outbreak and lack of a vaccine. He voiced his displeasure about the ad in a piece over at redstate.com. ICYMI, here is the ad:
From towleroad:
He writes:
It’s a defensive ad that reeks of desperation. At a time when more and more Americans, including millennials, are concluding government just doesn’t work, it probably won’t be effective. And Republicans can respond in kind.
For example, instead of studying Ebola, the National Institutes of Health were studying the propensity of lesbians to be fat.
That NIH study can be found

He also criticized the CDC for doing studies about gun violence, HIV surveys, and trying to convince folks to stop smoking. What wasteful spending, huh?!
