It seems that the San Joaquin Valley area has had a number of problems with "scary or mischievous clowns" lately (not the politician kind). The latest incident involved a clown brandishing a gun; it's unknown whether the gun would have discharged a flag with the word "Bang!"
While the article doesn't give a lot more detail, there is speculation that the miscreant harlequins may be involved in a number of crimes, including:
-Driving unregistered vehicles with an excessive number of occupants
-Robbing the Kwik-E-Mart
-Assault with a deadly pie
Members of the public should be on the lookout for suspicious characters. The suspects have been described as having:
-Hair in unusual colors
-Excessively large feet
-Round noses that make beeping noises if touched.
Artist's rendition.
On to Top Comments!
A major THANK YOU for the many contributions tonight - apparently dailykos was aflower with insightful and entertaining comments today, and I wasn't the only one who noticed.
From Marko the Werelynx:
I nominate TDDVandy! For the spark of insight shown in Grizzard's diary about the abhorrent behavior of a SC high school football team.
The diary.
The comment.
Entirely tasty, but particularly this bit:
I've recently determined that saying you dislike political correctness is a different way of saying "I am an asshole, and I would like to continue being an asshole because freedom."
Damn, put that one under-- "Things I Wish I'd Said First."
Your fuzzy-headed friend,
Marko
From
Youffraita:
IndyScott nails it in Laura Clawson's diary about Rick Scott, governor of Florida.
From
arizonablue:
CWinebrinner has an anecdote about cow-riding and explains the reasons for being active in politics and fighting to protect the rights of their family members. (In Angie in WA State's Connect! Unite! Act!.)
From
white blitz:
Please consider this for Top Comments: Crist: 'Ask a question, he pleads the Fifth.' (Comment is by zenbassoon, from Laura Clawson's diary Rick Scott won't say if he knew execution delay was for a political fundraiser.)
From
Gwennedd:
I'd like to submit this comment from nosleep4u to Top comments.
It was a hilarious comment amongst many in my diary King Tut Revealed. There were so many funny comments it was difficult to choose just one.
Note: If you find more that are worthy of TCing, be my guest.
From
JG in MD:
You may think you get what it's like to be poor even though you're not poor yourself, but this comment by Maire30 will probably teach you something you didn't know. (From Lefty Coaster's diary why anyone in the South would continue to vote Republican after seeing this Map defies logic.)
RFK Lives quotes Pierce at his best in xaxnar's diary In the Continuing Adventures of the Young Fogies Club.
From
your humble (if antisocial) diarist:
In Hunter's diary American Family Association claims anti-LGBT Idaho chapel owners to be arrested. Nope, 88kathy takes wingnut thinking to its inevitable conclusion.
