Turns out, more than you think. They both share one basic principle -- if you don't show up every single game, you lose. All those hours of practice mean nothing if ... you don't bother to actually turn up each game. You can't score a touchdown and you can't cross the finish line if it's not important enough for you to actually be there to do battle with your opponent when it counts.
And that's the point we need to make to non-voters. What type of school will their child go to, how good are their teachers, and what quality of education will they receive? All that's determined by who's on the school board. Is their police department there to protect them or there to protect someone else from them? We know how much is at stake, but unfortunately, too many people don't.
So here's a video that puts voting in a new light. It's about football, that great American sport. Let's get the message out, and hopefully, get a lot more people to the polls.
