A really good must-read via MarketWatch:

The author of this article gives us a really nice, short economic reminder about WHY our economy remains in the doldrums. Any or all of us could use this in our final arguments to voters as to why they need to vote for Democrats this election.
For example, sucking a few trillion out of the economy may be part of the reason why our economy is currently rather sucky. Sayeth Rex Nutting, author:
For the 10 years between 2008 and 2017, the CBO figured that lost output would total $6.2 trillion, about one-third of annual gross domestic product.
Mehhh, much ado about nothing. Economy-stuff is too hard for most people. That's why we listen to our leaders and don't need to worry our pretty heads, right?
Understandably, very few people would say the economy is working for them.
Well, it's about time they started payin attention! And that's why the Dems are gonna sweep back into DC this week, right?
Shockingly, a plurality of voters trust the Republicans more than the Democrats on the economy, according to a Pew Research Center poll.
Se...wait, what?? NOOOOOOOOOO. IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone who trusts the Republicans hasn’t been paying attention to what their economic policies have been.
I'm sorry, I just can't go on. My head has exploded all over my puter. Let me close with this:
Voters are right to be disgusted. The economy has a lot of problems, cyclical and structural. More federal spending over the past five years would have helped solve some of the cyclical problems.
Republican economic policies have been a disaster.
PS: I have no idea who this author, Rex Nutting, is. Good guy or bad guy - I dunno, but I liked his sentiment expressed.
