Wealthy candidate, Sandra Fluke has come to the Daily Kos community three times and asked for contributions to fund her campaign against a fellow Democrat. Some dig deep and add to their credit card debt. How happy would the progressive Democrats on Daily Kos be if they knew that to date Sandra Fluke has paid SKD Knickerbocker $518,326.16?
Why be concerned that your hard earned money is going to the PR "geniuses" that push the Keystone XL Pipeline as ethical oil; the PR firm that promotes Michelle Rhee and Students First? You tell me.

Sandra Fluke has stated that campaign finance reform is her top priority. She says that she wants "to make sure that we're increasing disclosure requirements" - but the required disclosure mandated by California law has revealed some embarrassing facts about her own financial interests.
Thanks to California voters passing a 1974 election reform ballot measure, all candidates for our State Senate are required to file a Statement of [their own] Economic Interests with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) of California.
When the economic interests filed with the FPPC by Sandra Fluke were revealed, Sandra shrugged off the investments as belonging to her in-laws. However these investments are HERS! That is why she had to report these investments to the FPPC. She has NOT signed off on the trust fund whose right-wing investments contradict each and every thing she claims to stand for. She could tell her husband that she does not want this filthy money but she DOES want it and the income that comes from it!
When asked by a sympathetic radio host about the revelations, Fluke said:
"You know, I'm so sorry that we even have to take time to address these types of things [she claims to advocate for] - but unfortunately this is a really close election and when you have a really close election and all the volunteers matter so much - and you also get these kinds of unfortunate personal attacks that are really not relevant to what's going on - so - you know - my husband's family has some investments [BS] - they're not my investments [MORE BS] - they're not my husband's - that he's able to control or that I have any control over - and this is just an attempt to drag me down with personal attacks"
The FPPC has never required candidates to disclose the financial interests of their in-laws
These are not personal attacks - these are facts - and Fluke's FPPC filing shows that these are her financial interests - and if they were not hers they would not be reported (by Sandra Fluke). Sandra advocates for financial disclosure - but when her finances are revealed, me thinks she doth protest too much.
PLUS her campaign advisers represent frackers, oil pipeline contractors and more. AND out of state law firms supporting Ms. Fluke represent many of the same interests. Her access to free national media made this state senate race a real David vs Goliath contest - and Ben Allen was the David. He needed money to get his name out there, and he got it from people from both parties who value integrity.
