I know that this is election day with a great deal going on. But, I wanted to get this news out there anyway for those who are interested. A Kansas federal judge has just approved marriage equality plaintiffs' motion for preliminary injunction and enjoined state officials from enforcing its marriage ban(s) on same-sex couples. The judge granted a temporary stay of his ruling till November 11, so the state defendants can decide whether or not to appeal and/or to request a stay pending appeal (from the Tenth Circuit). Kansas was the last state in the Tenth Circuit without marriage equality. That's about to end. Congratulations, Kansas!
I don't know if or how this will affect the election since the ruling is stayed for a week.
