Not to get our hopes up too high, but the Louisville area is reporting a higher than expected turnout. I vote in Louisville, and I was surprised by the steady voting in my precinct (not sure what the total number is for the four precincts where I vote, but 534 people voted by 10:25 A.M., and there were at least another 20 folks behind me). This was a much better turnout than in the primary where you could have swung a dead cat and not hit anyone.
Also, not sure of this, they are predicting a 60-65% turnout for Jefferson County where Louisville is; this will be better than the 52% reported for the 2010 Election. The rest of the state will be, according to initial estimates, around 49% (same as 2006 and 2010 Elections).
