I know there are a lot of reasons the Dems lost so badly in this midterm, but I am at a loss of why voter suppression efforts never seem to be discussed. I have been seeing reports of voter suppression consistently for the last several years and yet, I don't see the Dem party rallying to fight back.
I know you can only take on so many fights but the Dems can't seem to prioritize the most important fights. As far as I can tell, the 2014 midterm is just a repeat of the 2010 midterm. For every battle the Dems win, they lose 2 in the midterms.
We don't know how to hold our ground and god forbid, be honest. And we don't know how to talk and act to the populous. And we don't marshal our forces around the really important issues that keep us alive in elections. And we keep making the same stupid mistake of not standing up for our principles. Voters (the ones who bother to vote) don't like spineless pols.
