Thank You.
I am writing this diary to express my gratitude to all veterans of this country for having given of yourselves in time of both war and in peace. I am proud of knowing many I call good friends whose stories I have learned from regarding wars long ago, to the recent conflicts that seem to go on forever nowadays. I have discovered veterans from everywhere share many common stories and experiences, and I have found through time that it doesn't matter what side or flag you fought for as the pain, joy, sorrow is all the same as we are all human beings and share those emotions and the ultimate experience of "being there".
So with that having been said, I say to all that served, and currently are serving:
Thank You for your service to our country. Thank You everyday, and not just today, for life's sacrifices you endured while serving the call of duty to our nation. As the saying goes, many gave some, and some gave all, as when in DC, I visit that wall with the names of those I never have met, but whose lives I silently mourn none the less.
Thank You veterans for not just today, but everyday, as Veterans Day is every day in my books.
Be safe out there.
