I'm jumping in because it was probably me with good intentions and bad technical instructions that caused our diarist tonight to have prematurely published an already wildly successful diary and commentary to have posted earlier than tonight. She may jump in and if so, let's focus on her diary, but in the meantime, here's something to amuse you:
KosAbility is a Sunday 7 pm eastkost/4 pm leftkost volunteer diarist community of, by & for people living with disabilities, who love someone with a disability, or who want to know more about the issues. Our use of "disability" includes temporary as well as permanent health/medical conditions, and small, gnawing problems as well as major, life-threatening ones. Our use of "love someone" extends to cherished members of other species.
Our discussions are open threads in the context of this community. Feel free to comment on the diary topic, ask questions of the diarist or generally to everyone, share something you've learned, tell bad jokes, post photos, or rage about your situation. Our only rule is to be kind; trolls will be spayed or neutered. If you are interested in contributing a diary, contact series coordinator postmodernista.

I begged Texan to find broken concrete chunks so that I could paint pond scenes and such on them, and Friday night, tripped over them and straight into the lawnmower handle. I don't usually bruise in the face, but I have the most spectacular black eye right now- and had to be at a craft show yesterday with wares from the store. Without a break yesterday til around 4p, I had no idea just how awful it looked.
This is one of the most spectacular bruises I've ever seen, and that counts my time as a paramedic. I've seen dead people with less intense wounds than this, but it could be so much worse- the two lacerations did not penetrate fully through the cheek or eyelid, and there are no fractures. I'll be applying my aspirin cure tonight to reduce the bruise, and we even found the glasses this afternoon, 15' away.
