Set your DVRs for Monday night, when Stephen Colbert does something he's never done before: interview President Barack Obama. So what if it was kind of a
booking mistake, or so he'd have us believe.
Colbert was excited to reveal that he had planned to book the '90s alternative band The Presidents of The United States of America for his D.C. special.
"Unfortunately, there was a bit of a mix-up, and I did not book the band—I booked the actual President of the United States of America," he said. "Barack Obama is gonna be my guest."
Colbert's starting his last two weeks on a high note, but could he be peaking too soon? He's going to have seven more shows to try to top this one. His last show before taking over for David Letterman next year will be December 18.
