Boehner expects Dems to support GOP plan for government funding
by Scott Wong and Mike Lillis, theHill.com -- December 4, 2014
Speaker John Boehner said Thursday he expects some House Democrats will join Republicans in passing a trillion-dollar spending package next week to avert a government shutdown.
But the Ohio Republican stopped short of saying majority Republicans needed Democratic support to get the measure through the lower chamber and over to the Senate.

"We haven't seen what the Republicans are proposing. When we do, we'll have a comment on it," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said during a press briefing outside the Capitol.

"We don't think that's the best policy," Hoyer told reporters. "Sen. [Lindsey] Graham — as you know, a Republican senator — said the bill wasn't a good idea. And I agree with that. We'll see what they're going to offer."

Heritage Action to Key Vote Blank Check for Amnesty
by Dan Holler, Heritage Action -- December 4, 2014

As Heritage Action’s chief executive officer Michael A. Needham said earlier this week, “The fight is now, not next year. Americans expect real action, not a show vote.”
