I made a post on Facebook. My posts are sometimes controversial to the Tea bagger crowd, the ones that believe in every word that Faux "News" spews forth.I have gotten used to that. But someone responded to my post with the words "Suck a dick ! ASSHOLE ! ASSHOLE! The words were obviously meant for me but they were, instead, "stitched" to my comment, making the offensive words appear that they came from me!
My brother in law then responded with outrage. I can understand that. But I told him that I wrote the first part of the pointed message but not those offending words. Not only did he not believe me, but he stated that he "loved me and that obviously I had a black out from drinking and that I did not remember typing it".
Now deeply offended I told him that was not the case but he has INSISTED that no one can invade another's posts, that Facebook has been designed to make that impossible.
I told him that once I might have believed him but that now, I know for certain that is not the case.
He explained that he is a drug and alcohol counselor and "knows the signs". Of course, my continued refusal is viewed by him as "denial". SHEEEESH.

So, I have come here seeking your help. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to. I am pretty certain the offending message came from my niece, who hates me for reasons I don't comprehend. Or maybe she hates me because I am one of those "damned libruls". I am pretty sure she did not intend to stitch the message into mine because frankly I don't think she is that smart. but I think she sent the message from her iPhone and it did not properly read the location.
I really do not understand the mechanics of how this happened, but it did and it has caused me great grief. I am hoping someone can give me some advice on how to counter this.
