The rapid progress of marriage equality (in the US) for the year has been quite remarkable. We started the year with about nineteen marriage equality states, and we will end the year with at least thirty-five.
Perhaps a picture tells the story better.
It is possible that we could add another state before the end of the year if the Arkansas Supreme Court rules favorably for marriage equality before the end of the year. Regardless of what happens in Arkansas, 2014 has been an amazing year for marriage equality.
