“meet the state’s workforce needs.” instead of searching for the Truth
Polling trends show Scott Walker: The first ‘it’ candidate of the 2016 presidential race
Scott Walker's POTUS buzz is highlighted in early polling leads by the absurdity of the Drudge Report poll at 44%, even though Drudge links have as much viability as the pop-up ad model for internet business but is a favorite for disinformation detritus. Walker's attacks on higher education funding are an easy scapegoating target for the LIV demographic in a state whose globally prominent university system was founded with Progressive ideals. Walker's proposals, not unlike so many other decisions he's made against the greater good (see mass transit) will ultimately diminish Wisconsin's competitiveness. Chris Christie as the most memorable politician at a Packers game is all one needs to know. The best Wisconsin idea would be to get him out of office since he seems to attract the most cynical of kleptocratic operatives.
Scott Walker: The first ‘it’ candidate of the 2016 presidential race The first boomlet of the 2016 contest belongs to none other than Scott Walker.
First came the Iowa caucus poll over the weekend from Bloomberg and the Des Moines Register, showing the Wisconsin governor in first place (though not a statistically significant lead) at 16 percent....
A new poll of the New Hampshire primary -- the second contest in the nomination process -- also showed Walker taking the lead. The automated Reach Communications poll from NH1 showed Walker at 21 percent, followed by Jeb Bush at 14 percent and the rest of the field at 8 percent or below. The same pollster tested the race two weeks ago and found Walker at just 8 percent...
And another automated poll in North Carolina from Democratic pollster Public Policy Polling showed Walker tied with Bush and Ben Carson for the lead at 14 percent, with Mike Huckabee at 13 percent.
A more modern definition of the Idea began to emerge in the 1930s, when a university publication described it as the notion that “the boundaries of campus are the boundaries of the state.” Although it isn’t clear who first used these words, they remain true today. In the spirit of the Wisconsin Idea, the university continues to seek ways to extend its influence beyond the boundaries of campus. - http://wisconsinidea.wisc.edu/...
Built from a semen-stained dress meme, Drudge, like the proverbial cockroach has survived in a market filled with smarmy imitators
His massive traffic regularly hits around three-quarters of a billion monthly page views, and he can be a key Internet traffic driver to more mainstream news sites. Opposition researchers say Drudge is best at surfacing stories on blogs and in the local press that would not get much coverage otherwise, and that in some ways a Drudge link can be better than getting something on the evening news, as it will have a longer shelf life on social media.
