For almost two years I have been a lone artist on a crusade. My mission is to bring together as many of America's gun victims as I can through the painting of their portraits.
As long as we can somehow treat the 30,000 or do gun deaths as isolated incidentes, we can still sent there is a desparate travesty of a problem.
But bring them together, and it could be impossible to resist just how intolerable the loss is. This is to inspire change.
This is the first exhibit of all 52 portraits done so far. What seemed like a long lonely quest trying to explain and explain and explain to people with stopped up ears, has begun to change. Three blocks from my home stands an AME church. A neighbor saw the article in the local paper, talked to the pastor, and now all 52 portraits on 44 canvasses stand as one in a meeting Hall.
This is the year we turn our city around, perhaps the country.
The Million Gun Victims March journey of thousands of miles has begun with the first three blocks.
