Happy Speaker of the House's Day!
Isn't that what you'd call the day two days after Presidents' Day? But wait, should it be Speakers of the House's Day? Speakers' of the House Day? What's the ruling on that?
And that makes tomorrow Senate Presidents Pro Tempore Day, I guess. And Friday is Secretaries of State Day. And next Friday is Secretaries of Labor Day. And the Friday after that is Secretaries of Homeland Security Day, though I'm not sure if we have to celebrate the day if the department is shut down.
We'll ask Joan McCarter, because she'll be here, as she will be for Secretaries of Agriculture Day next week, and Secretaries of Education Day the week after that.

Greg Dworkin has the serious scientific and medical news of the day: GMO spider venom may be the next Viagra, and; is it OK for docs to Google patients? In politics: 2016 frontrunners & what the Gop base can do about it. Armando briefly considers the standing questions surrounding the King case, then turns to the order of the federal judge in Texas that purports to block President Obama's immigration executive actions. There's more to it than just the derp. Jeb Bush's e-mail dump was apparently full of viruses, too. Random sampling: an old Ian Millhiser piece on why today's Tea Party would have hated George Washington. Republicans' intra-party DHS stalemate leads us to another filibuster reform moment. Who's paying back whom, for which tyranny?
