After actively working against medical marijuana patients in Florida, DNC head Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz digs a deeper hole as she tries to save her potential Senate candidacy.
Her behavior and dishonesty only confirm that she is not one of the better Democrats we want in the Florida Senate race. Her transactional political instinct should not be rewarded with a statewide nomination.
Honestly, it would be best for the party if DWS would step down as head of the Democratic National Committee. It's not a good sign when the headlines are about her, instead of Democratic candidates or policies.
Orlando Democratic activist and attorney John Morgan has released a transcript of emails and text messages from Wasserman Shultz political advisor Jason O'Malley offering to trade the congresswoman's support for the proposed medical marijuana amendment for a retraction from Morgan in Politico. Needless to say, Morgan rejected her offer and offered the following explanation:
“No. She is a bully. I beat bullies up for a living.”
