The deaths happened in 23 different states, the highest totals coming from California (8), Texas (7), Florida (4), Tennessee (3), and Arizona (3). 24 of the cases involved suspects armed with a gun, 7 involved domestic violence, and 6 involved clear mental health issues.
There were no line of duty deaths among police officers during this time period.
