Yes, that is what 54% of Republicans believe, according to a new poll by Alex Theodoridis of the University of California at Merced. Are any of us suprised?
The continuous effort to categorize the President as "the other" seems to be working for the GOP. If a new poll asked if he was born in Kenya and not a U.S. citizen, I would bet the results would be pretty much the same.
Their propaganda machine is certainly effective. What I don't understand is how they manage to keep people believing contradictory things, i.e., cognitive dissonance. GOP voters are confident that Obama was a fervent supporter of Rev. Wright and his Christian church yet they believe at the same time that he is Muslim.
I don't think I will ever understand them and it makes my brain ache to try.
