"Ex-gay" activists are perhaps the most dangerous adversaries to the LGBT community out there. They spread the harmful lie that there is something deeply wrong with you and you need to stop with all that being gay right this instant, just like they did. Misguided Christians place their trust in these people, holding them up like trophies as they justify sending their children off to "ex-gay" camps against their will. They offer themselves as false hope to adult men and women who have been taught to loath themselves for who they are and willfully pay their money to further damage themselves in conversion therapy. Tonight, I'm going to introduce you to one of these activists, Linda Wall.
Brace yourself.

Linda Wall founded the group Virginia Mass Resistance in January of 2014 as a response to newly sworn in Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring for refusing to defend the state's ban on marriage equality. The group has vowed to have him impeached. Virginia Mass Resistance is just her latest nasty gig. Wall's bio reveals her long list of anti-LGBT activities.
Linda Wall is a native Virginian. She grew up in rural Dinwiddie County and graduated from Longwood University (Longwood College) in 1973 where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Linda has worked for the Virginia General Assembly, helped on political campaigns for conservative candidates at the state and federal level, lobbied for The Family Foundation of Virginia and Concerned Women for America of Virginia (CWA-VA), served on the Board of Directors of Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays (PFOX) and ran for the Virginia House of Delegates.
She has appeared on numerous radio shows as well as TV shows; Ex-gay Today, Healing Miracles and Valley Faith in Action.
Linda is a born again believer who was set free from the "trap" of homosexuality. Her passion is sharing the Living Jesus Christ with others and shedding light on the lies of homosexuality.
About that run for the Virginia General Assembly. Even though she never hid the fact that she
is a lesbian who has disowned that facet of herself, it became her undoing during her 2011 run for office. It came to light that she had had
an affair with a female junior high school student where she worked as a gym teacher in the early 70s. Not high school—junior high! The student and her parents declined to prosecute. The admitted child sex offender lost her
bid for that office garnering a puzzling 5.6% of the vote.
Wall's chilling "ex-gay" testimonial reveals a woman who believes she is truly tormented by the big guy downstairs. She is constantly encountering unearthly evil phenomenon. On her way to get born again, she couldn't open up her car door in the church parking lot, writing that the forces of hell itself were pushing the door from the other side to keep her from getting out of her car. She has visions, experiences demonic voices whispering in her ear and has prophetic dreams.
This morning, Linda Wall posted the first part of a two-piece article on Matt Barber's freak show of a website, Barbwire, titled Satan and the GLBT Demons. Don't walk, run to read it. It is jaw-dropping in ways I've never had my jaw dropped before.
Our Linda once worked for the owner of a Norfolk art gallery, cleaning up his rental real-estate properties after the tenants moved on. When he tasked her with cleaning out the creepy basement of one his properties that some squatter had been living in, she freaked the hell out and dropped to her knees in frightful prayer, saying "somehow I knew I was about to face the rulers of the darkness of this world."
After asking God to be with me and protect me, I jumped into bed. What happened next must have been a vision because not enough time had passed for me to be asleep and dreaming. I saw the pile of junk I was to remove from the basement and watched a snake crawl out from beneath it. In my ignorance of the dark side of the supernatural I thought God was telling me to watch out for the snake, but He was warning me about a much bigger serpent!
Wall ramped herself up into a full-on anxiety attack before she even stepped onto the "earthen floor" basement repleat with spider webs, dark corners and a pile of some poor homeless dude's left behind trash. Truth be told, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed being down there either, but poor Linda was traumatized by the eyes. They were clearly not the eight eyes of the common arachnid, but the eyes of demons watching her making spic and span.
Humanly, I was alone in the basement, but I could sense there were many eyes watching me. I began to sing hymns I use to sing as a kid in church. I couldn’t remember all of the words, but what came to mind I sang out loudly. I knew my only line of defense was God’s Word from those “old –timey” hymns.
As in fast forwarding a movie, I began to stuff the unwanted items into the plastic bags and in a flash the task was completed. What a relief when I exited the cellar and slammed the door. I had been expecting to be captured and locked up any moment the entire time I was down there.
I caught my breath and immediately entered the house to retrieve my car keys and sunglasses. Before leaving, I noticed all of the eyes in the pictures glaring at me. Often I had studied the art work, but for the first time I understood what they all had in common. It was the eyes. It was Satan himself glaring at me.
What have you done to it? What have you done to its
eyes!!!
Really, go read this thing. It is mesmerizing in its insanity. She ends her piece with an unhinged rant about attending a Unitarian church the following Sunday that still has me scratching my head. She apparently witnessed the art gallery owner's head, who also preaches at the church, turn into the very noggin of Satan. It just popped up there like some demonic balloon. This cliff-hanger for part deux has me on the edge of my seat waiting for publication.
This is one of the luminaries of the "ex-gay" movement. One that Matt Barber, a noted hater of my people, feels is stable enough to "represent." Good job there Matt.
Linda Wall personifies the reason why the "ex-gay" movement and conversion therapy needs to be exposed, investigated and legislated out of existence. The nuts that Christians pin their hopes to in their effort to claim that LGBT people can change their innate sexuality are damaged, dangerous people who innocent souls should never be subjected to.

In today's CUA diary by catilinus, Thinking Fella's announcement of the postponement of today's Four Corners Kossacks meet-up due to weather was met with some, well, FCKing good humor from belinda ridgewood, slksfca, and Thinking Fella himself.
From TrueBlueMajority and belinda ridgewood on behalf of ozsea:
This well-covered comment by niemann was submitted by ozsea who noted in the nomination "On the road with my smartphone, so it may take a day or two, unless a fellow kossack would please do that for me." Thank you TBM and belinda for helping ozsea get this in tonight. Found in Molly Weasley's diary Why did we love Spock? A Leonard Nimoy tribute from a Star Trek nerd.
From Village Vet:
AnnetteK posted an article about the GoFundMe page put up by Sheriff Mack to help with his own and his wife's medical bills.
The comment string that was started by OkieByAccident seems to be both snarky and enlightening.
One of the commentators [on the GoFundMe Website] nailed it: GoFundMe is obviously the Republican's replacement plan for the ACA.
That was followed by OleHippChick:
Yeah, Gofundme or GoDie. Quickly.
From Eyesbright:
In Hugh Jim Bissell's diary Bin Laden Speaks at CPAC, slksfca did the work to post the photos that prove how true his/her comment is!
From Steven Payne:
I love this comment by RadGal70 from Steve Singiser's diary The (not entirely new) Republican War on American History regarding the reasons conservatives hate truth in education.
