I decided to cobble a sonnet together, under the gun, though I didn't intend it that way. That whole balance in life thing is still eluding me.
Since my late husband has been in my thoughts lately--we're in the period between the dates of his birthday, and his passing--thoughts of him were the topic I chose.
Kalliope
Means "beautiful voice" from Greek καλλος (kallos) "beauty" and οψ (ops) "voice". In Greek mythology she was a goddess of epic poetry and eloquence, one of the nine Muses.

Husband, Missed
Your roaring at injustice, I still hear.
Voice raised in song, not often enough.
Kindness, esteemed but seldom, I fear
By those whose dealings tended to “tough.”
That hearty laugh, it was so contagious!
Your eyes, a genial, comforting blue
Creativity's spark longed to fly free.
Adversity's stones struck—so outrageous!
Yet your giving nature always held true.
Such grace when dancing—How I miss thee!
