Lindsey Graham revealed on Meet the Press Sunday in an interview with Chuck Todd that he has never used toilet paper. Nope, never used it. 'You can have every piece of toilet paper I've ever used,' Graham told Todd. 'I've never used any.'
More below the fold.
Todd judiciously declined to ask how Graham deals with ... 'things' in a hygienic way, noting that, under the circumstances, he lacked the specific curiosity to delve into an issue he considered, 'not a matter of compelling transparency.' Apparently, it will fall to Graham's constituents to resolve that question.
Democrats seized on the issue as an opportunity to highlight just how 'out of touch' prominent Republicans like Graham are with mainstream America.
If a prominent US Senator has never used toilet paper, how can he possibly relate to issues of hygiene and health etiquette that concern most Americans of every age?!
Diary update: Uhoh. An as yet unnamed Kossack sent me a kosmail informing me that the news stories on this matter reported that Graham never sent an email, NOT that he never used toilet paper. Mea culpa! Apparently I misread the article. (I still don't believe he ever used tp, though.)
Emily Litella look: Never mind.
