Failte!
We've come to the day, and as we do each year, we offer you the Shamrock Roundup, for a look at the news and the pundits from the other side of the pond:
The Irish Independent reports the induction of Hilary Clinton into the Irish American Hall of Fame in New York City:
"You cannot bring peace and security to people just by signing an agreement. There has been some very important work done in recent years that where women are involved there is a much better chance that the agreement will hold," she said.
Seated at table with Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams and Minister for the Arts Heather Humphreys, Ms Clinton also addressed the current impasse in Northern Irish politics, the welfare reform crisis."It's better to have people arguing about that than walking away and thinking that conflict may be the only answer," she said.
It's not all gala suppers, though, and even in Ireland questions of marriage equality are not far from the minds of prospective voters, as Niall O'Connorreports:
ONE of the country's largest colleges has altered its summer examination schedule in a move that will enable its students to vote in the Marriage Equality Referendum.
Although it is examination week, DCU has decided not to hold examinations on the afternoon of May 22. This will enable students to travel home to any part of the country in time to vote," he told the Irish Independent.
Of course marriage equality is not that hard, as we learn in the
Irish Examiner even a five year old can explain it.
The examiner also explores climate change with reference to bad storms that battered Lahinch last year.
If, alas, things in Ireland are too close home, perhaps you might just pour a perfect pint and enjoy the craic.
