Hillary Clinton took
to her twitter account Monday to slam Republicans for tying the attorney general confirmation vote of Loretta Lynch to a human trafficking bill they doomed by adding an anti-abortion provision to it.
“Congressional trifecta against women today: 1) Blocking great nominee, 1st African American woman AG, for longer than any AG in 30 years….” Clinton’s first tweet read.
“…2) Playing politics with trafficking victims….3) Threatening women’s health & rights,” her tweets continued.
Lynch's confirmation is now in question after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised an indefinite delay on the vote if Democrats blocked the human trafficking bill over a Republican provision that limits victims' access to abortion. And
Democrats blocked that vote Tuesday.
