Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
So as part of a quality-of-life and reward-balancing thing, Blizzard upped the item levels of all Blackrock Foundry items across all difficulty levels by 5. The highest level crafted and Apexis gear has been increased as well. This apparently went live today, according to guildies.
With that, let's go to the raid reports! Here's Ninotchka with the Team Kaels report:
Flexorama had a great run last night! Jantuk stepped in to do the tanking and was a pillar of strength, especially when I tested him by dying to stupid stuff. I’m going to claim that I did that deliberately as a test and a confidence builder. Um. Yeah. Anyhow, monk tanks OP. We downed Hans and Franz, Darmac, and Gruul, and we got two pulls in on Oregorger before I had to call it for the night.
Team Kaels killed heroic Flamebinder in just (I think) 3 pulls. It might have been 2. It was really fast. We had done the fight on normal before and there were no new mechanics, but even so we were surprised at how quickly she fell down. Feeling chuffed, we went on to Kromog and made some solid progress on Tuesday night. On Wednesday night, all of our Blackrock gear was buffed up by 5 item levels so we were sure that a kill was within our reach. Unfortunately, we didn’t count on losing two of our best AoE DPS to real life issues, and the boss kill that had seemed within our grasp 24 hours earlier continued to elude us. We pouted and went off to one-shot the rest of our farm bosses. Next week, he will crumple and fall to our combined might once we have our warrior and mage back.
I ran a guild LFR last week that, once again, went fabulously well. I'm not going to be able to run it this coming Friday, but I do hope that some guild tanks and healers will step up and save our DPS from long queue times.

And here's the Team PM report from Pamena:
Another fun week for Team PM, although last Thursday was basically a "die and learn" night on Oregorger - we had one very, very close miss, wiped at .07%, and later Taklok discovered looking at the logs that we had not cast bloodlust on that pull. That's pretty agonizing, but we won't make that mistake again, I think. We were disappointed not to have the gear buff in yet on Tuesday, and also that we were missing two of our top damage dealing casters, Joravic and Mageartin, but we managed to clear heroic Kargath, Butcher and Tectus before running into problems on the Twins. Still, most people on the team now have enough heroic kills in Highmaul to get us Mythic gear rewards from garrison HM missions, so that is one objective accomplished.
This Thursday will be our last night for a few weeks with our stellar and knowledgable barrage specialist Rira, who has some real life bidness to attend to for the next 6 weeks or so - we are very much hoping Dkosmama and Luna will be able to join us more often to give us the hunter touch we usually require. I STILL want to get heroic Brackenspore down, but we really need two hunters handling the flamethrowers for that one, so hope we can get that done soon. It's back to BRF tonight - I wasn't able to join the flexorama last night, but I know some of our team went on a great run, so I hope they'll be ok with seeing the same bosses again tonight. Looking forward to seeing if the gear buff does much for us, although I doubt it will help us dodging Oregorger!

Here's my best shot at a Team Z report.
Imperator Whatshisface narrowly avoided being oneshot, but we got Heroic Kargath and Butcher kills to increment up our boss kill counters for Highmaul missions. I think today's gear boost will help out too. We're getting the dance down and are consistently getting him to 20%, we just have to survive the going crazy phase.

That's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
