It's Wednesday, and that means it's
Joan McCarter Day once again!
This time, I have the big Idaho news. Here's your headline shot:
An all-out melee: One dead, two shot in 17-person battle in Walmart parking lot
And now, the Idaho
chaser:
Boise street band members arrested in Arizona Wal-Mart shooting
New details are emerging in a weekend shooting in Arizona that left one dead -- and involved at least eight Treasure Valley residents.
Ruth Gaver, 52, Peter Gaver, 55, Nathaniel Gaver, 27, and Jeremiah Gaver, 28, all of Boise are being held in the Yavapai County Jail on several charges including assault on a law enforcement officer, assault and hindering prosecution.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has identified Enoch Gaver who was shot and killed during the struggle.
David Gaver is currently hospitalized after being shot in the abdomen.
[...]
The Gavers were believed to have been living in a large camper in the parking lot for several days prior to the incident.
On Your Side has learned the family members comprised a local band known as Matthew 24 Now. According to the band’s Facebook page, Peter Gaver and his sons, Jeremiah and Nathan, are members of the band.
Matthew 24 Now has also been known as “Busking In The Son” and is known to have played music on the sidewalks near the Albertsons store on 17th and State Streets in Boise.
Yowza, Idaho! And if you think
that's crazy, wait til you get a load of how budget voting is going down today in the House of Representatives!
OK, that's kind of lame. But it's "real news," and all, so we're kind of stuck with it. But maybe we'll dress it up with some zombies, or death panels or something!

Did you happen to miss our last LIVE show? You can catch it here:
Greg Dworkin rounds up all the Ted Cruz Nuz. What it might mean that Cruz is officially in while others are not. Steve King is puzzled by Jews. The new line of attack on Jeb: he's not anti-Obamacare enough. Monte Frank of Team 26 tells us about the 3rd Sandy Hook Ride on Washington, and discusses the national drive for gun violence prevention, so-called "smart guns," etc. Next, we try to make good on missing Rosalyn MacGregor's Michigan update, but instead play the (admittedly excellent) February update! Why? Because we're professionals. A procedural explainer on the budget resolution, on which debate begins today in the House. What is the "Queen of the Hill" rule, and why would you use it? KITM listeners are among the few for whom this rule isn't completely new!
