Rep. Paul Shepherd's website is about to get a lot more colorful
Idaho state Rep. Paul Shepherd has been diligently working to roll back equal rights. Just last week he
called on Congress to impeach federal judges who struck down discriminatory marriage bans in places like Shepherd's home state of Idaho.
Not only did he waste time and money on his bigoted proposal, he caught the attention of gay rights activists—something he's probably regretting right about now. And that is where reddit user—and self-described "gay nerd"—TibitXimer stepped in:
Rep. Paul Shepherd urges congress to impeach judges who rule in favor of same-sex marriage, so I bought his campaign site before he renewed it to promote same-sex marriage
I now own his website: http://paulshepherdusa.com His twitter which shows it's his official site: https://twitter.com/...
Any ideas of what should be posted on it? Haven't had much time to add anything.
EDIT: Site was hugged to death by reddit, working on adding more resources to the server, didn't expect tens of thousands of viewers.
Within hours, the website received thousands of hits and it is only intermittently operational as of this morning. But, that doesn't mean reddit user TibitXimer is giving up. He (or she) is working on a fix and taking suggestions for the content to be featured on the new site. Suggestions for improvement include the history of the LGBTQ rights struggle, resources for LGBTQ youth and outreach, legal information on the laws of each state and so on and so forth.
What type of content would you look to add to the site?
