I was wondering if the smart people could help me out with something. The “true” Christians say they should be allowed to refuse gays service because it “goes against their values.” If being gay is as awful as they claim, why didn't it make God's Top 10 list? They act like the Bible says, “God hates gays” every other sentence.
Also, the last time I checked, having sex outside of marriage is clearly a sin in the Bible. And divorce is considered adultery, which is also a sin. Are these florists and wedding cake companies asking straight couples if they've had sex before getting hitched and/or if it's their second marriage?
If not, they are nothing but cherry-picking hypocrites and we shouldn't listen to one word when they start whining about “being forced to go against their values” because they are doing it anyway.
Lastly, can these bigots honestly tell me that they think Jesus would approve of refusing service to gay people? I'm dead serious. I've read the entire Bible and there is nothing in there that would lead me to believe that Jesus would say it's ok to single out gays and tell them their business is not welcome.
The guy hung out with hookers. His second commandment was to love your neighbor. Don't tell me, “We just hate the sin” because that's complete nonsense, especially, as I said, they have zero problem serving couples that have sex before getting hitched when that actually did make God's Top 10 list.
