While Kansas Republicans are planning a hearing of sorts to boot someone from the state house for lack of decorum, Senator Pat Roberts had his own breakdown of manners today, leaving on his cell phone. The cell phone came to life in the middle of testimony, launching into the power ballad from Disney's Frozen "Let It Go".
Roberts has spent time going after other elected officials on their memory and attention, including taking to Meet the Press to argue people should take some of his "memory pills"
Today, however, Sen. Roberts suffered a glitch of his own - maybe his memory pills weren't working - but the panel at least was able to enjoy his break of decorum with the key chorus of a Disney musical.
No word on if Republicans will ask for penalties for breaking floor rules.
8:32 PM PT: Minor Note
This diary isn't about hating on Pat Roberts. It's poking fun a bit for his super-strict attitude on others absolutely following the rules & decorum, reminding people if they can't follow the guidelines they should do xyz, etc... and then him being caught breaking the rules.
It's a minor thing, it made me laugh, and thus a note, that's all.
