In the next election we will unfortunately have only two possible choices thanks to the Citizens United Tea Law. Make all the useless arguments you want about a third choice but honestly if you still think there will be another choice that has a realistic possibility you are just trying to fool yourself. There will be only two realistically Possible choices next election.
The Tea Party controlled Republican party will do Anything to stop Any progressive bill that is proposed. They have already proved that time and time again. So…if they win then there will be "NO CHANCE" to get Anything progressive passed.
With the Democrats there at least is a Chance. The place to get the best, most progressive Democrat we can get is in the Primaries and Only in the Primaries. When that is over then it becomes more about defeating the Tea Party Agenda. The ONLY way to do that is for as many Democrats as possible to Win. Now, even the Worst Democrat will at least vote for a good progressive bill Most of the time. So…even the Worst Democrat that makes it to the ticket is worth voting for because then we will at least have a "CHANCE" to get something progressive done.
Make No Mistake. if we loose, no matter what the reason, including our usual Embarrassingly low voter turnout, there will be "NO CHANCE" to get Anything Progressive done!!!
So…the choices are a “CHANCE” or “NO CHANCE”, there unfortunately will be No other choices.
My Primary choices below the squiggly bar.
I want to see a really good primary that will move the entire party further Left.
Elizabeth Warren - Yeah, I know, she's not running but I still have to give her honorable mention. ;-)
Bernie Sanders - My favorite, I just wish I could believe he can win, close maybe, but just being realistic.
Sherrod Brown - A Great Liberal that has great creds.
Al Franken - He has national name recognition already and could be a dark horse. He has a chance of making some good humor to get his point across and that can play well in a public debate, he could get some big number bumps. He is an experienced comedian and knows how to play a crowd. And he is also a good choice for us.
Yes, there are several other really good Democrats that I would like to see win but being realistic there are few that really have a chance of beating Hillary in the Primaries.
