I am a tall white guy. (Additional details would detract from this "Diary".) I've never been afraid of police, nor of persecution for being what I appear to be. I truly don't have many fears of other people, nor of worldly monsters.
I do a fair amount of reading and try to understand "where someone is coming from". I've studied a bit of psychology, history, sociology, anthropology, and politics. I, unlike many that I've met, try to remember what it was like when different areas of ignorance were revealed to me.
I keep seeing "You have no idea what I experience" and "White people can't understand my viewpoint" and "You should try to experience my life before you judge". I almost never see "This is how you experience discrimination like I do/did".
So... What would I need to do to learn the lessons that I've not been in a position to learn?
