I was reading about how Gov. Paul LePage of Maine, is going to veto any legislation proposed by Democrats. He's in a snit because the legislature refused to abolish state income tax as he wanted. Possibly because that when income tax is abolished, states seek other sources of revenue, increased like sales taxes, that hurt the poor. LePage's plan is to keep vetoing all Democratic bills until they "see (his) the light" and remove the state income tax. As an added bonus, he screamed that the Dems were acting childishly as he stamped his foot and pouted. Of course, this attitude could wreak havoc on Maine depending what he vetoes and how long his tantrum lasts.

More below the orange smoke cloud of anger.
LePage got me to thinking about the horrible governors that we have now, and the ones that immediately preceded them. I'd think of some of the things that they did, how awful some were, how inflexible, how stupid. Or how they acted to discriminate against immigrants, block women's rights, favor the 1%, favor wars, hate on LGBTQs, want to cripple social and medical support systems and so many more.
The names and anger at what they did came flooding up: Brownback, Scott, Pataki, Walker, Jindal, Christie, Brewer, Corbett, Perry, Sanford, Pence, Fallin, Abbott, Haley, Palin, McDonnell, Rowland and the list goes on. Scandals, indictments, manipulation, bigotry, bad governing, economic disasters. I can't make up my mind as to which was the worst. I came up with a top three. If you had to choose 3 out of this list, or others that you suggest, which ones would they be? And why would they make your list?
I've limited the list to current governors, governors from the last term and governors who have returned and are running in the Republican election for president in 2016. If you have others who fit this time frame, feel free to add them.
The winner gets the Grand Prize which consists of admission tickets for two and airfare to: 1. Watch the fracking quakes ravage the country. 2. A first-hand look at Texas floods. 3. Visit an aquatic oil spill or pipeline leak of your choice. 4. See the joy on Kansas' children's faces as they get to start summer vacation sooner because their school districts have no more money. 5. Pick a state that has refused to expand Medicaid and watch some poor die for lack of health care. 6. Schedule (with a selected police department) the murder of a young black man (or woman, or child) who put the officer in fear of his life. 7. Mansion tour of the 1%. Just as an example, you can see Papa John's "house" with several pools, a lake, golf course, guest house, multi-tiered parking facility for 30+ cars and the opulent interior. 8. Visit some Chinese cites that are so polluted, people have to wear face masks when they go outdoors (As an added bonus, on the flight to China, you can fly close to the North Pole, see how it's shrinking and watch polar bears and seals drowning.) 9. Bus tour over one of our oldest and completely unmaintained bridge. Great swaying view and the bridge probably won't undergo a sudden change in entropy while you're riding across it, causing your untimely death. 10. Finally you will be taken to eastern Pennsylvania and shown how their tap water spontaneously combusts when exposed to air right in the sink!
Hmmm, after looking at the "Grand Prize' perhaps it would be awarded to our winning governors.
8:45 AM PT: Poll added with as many names as would fit. If you have another one not making the poll, add him or her in the comments.
