This Morning on Face the Nation Jeb Bush had almost nothing but praise for his brother George's foreign and national security policies including his unprovoked invasion of Iraq, and its repercussions that are still unfolding in calamitous ways.
Bob Schieffer: "What do you think you learned from him, successes and mistakes?"
Jeb Bush: "Well, the successes clearly are protecting the homeland. We were under attack, and he brought he unified the country, and he showed dogged determination, and he kept us safe.
And you know, you can talk about a lot of stuff, but when you're president of the United States and you're confronted with that kind of event, to respond the way he did is admirable, and I've learned from that.
And I've learned also not having, keeping the reign on spending. Because of the war and because of the focus on ptotecting the Homeland he let the Republican Congress get a little out of control in terms of spending."
Trumping up a phony rationale to invade Iraq, a country that was not responsible for launching the 9/11 attacks is most definitely not "
admirable"! It was deceptive, atrocious, and criminal.
