THANK YOU
I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for all of Cedwyn’s friends and KOS associates. I hope each of you celebrated Cedwyn in your own way. It was such a pleasure to read all of your comments in response to the posting of her celebration this past weekend. Your comments meant a lot to me.
Her celebration on May 23 at Mt. Taber park in Oregon was so beautiful and meant so much to everyone that was able to attend and also to everyone that celebrated via the remarkable technology that we have today. Cedwyn was so typical of her generation and totally embraced technology. I’m a little slower on the technology uptake – it’s a generational thing – I remember walking across the room to change the TV channel; and we had the old black dial phone - if the phone line was busy, you had to call back !
I know she would have approved of her celebration. We had fresh flowers from a friend’s garden; some of the petals were falling off so we did our best Martha Stewart imitation and scattered them on the table, it was beautiful. We enjoyed wonderful purple butterfly cupcakes, bubbles, great food, songs by Roo and Bohica, and many other friends. We scattered wild flower seeds so that the universe would know Cedwyn.
It was quite a hike up to the top of Mt. Taber and all of us were whining and complaining; and it wasn’t just the old folks, the young ones were whining as well. Cedwyn would have been so amused by that. I’m sure she was laughing at us.
I want to especially thank Sara and Ann for making Cedwyn’s beautiful quilt. Her husband, John, cherishes that quilt and he brought it to her celebration event so everyone could enjoy seeing it. He and I were so thrilled to meet the ladies that made the quilt. I know that Cedwyn was comforted by her quilt.
The Community Quilt Project is such a loving wonderful program. I’m so impressed by how the community comes together to offer support and comfort to their friends.
Please live on and keep Cedwyn in your spirits.
Love
