No candidate since 1960 has won the White House without taking at least two of these three states: Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In Quinnipiac's
latest poll, Hillary Clinton's the decisive frontrunner in each for Democrats.
On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is over 50 percent in each state, with a 38-percentage point lead in the closest race.
But on the Republican side, Jeb Bush edges out Marco Rubio in Florida, Ohio Gov. John Kasich decisively leads the pack in his home state, and Marco Rubio leads a very tight field in Pennsylvania. Here's the breakdown:
Florida
Jeb Bush: 20 percent
Marco Rubio: 18 percent
Scott Walker: 9 percent
Ohio
John Kasich: 19 percent
Jeb Bush: 9 percent
Scott Walker: 8 percent
Pennsylvania
Rubio: 12 percent
Rand Paul: 11 percent
Jeb Bush: 10 percent
Ben Carson: 10 percent
Rubio has the highest overall favorability rating of any GOP candidate.
As for Democrats:
"The race for the Democratic nomination could not be more different. Secretary Clinton is far, far ahead and the criticisms of her and questions about her email and family foundation seem to be having no impact at all on her Democratic supporters."
Though it's worth noting that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is now
within 10 points of Clinton in New Hampshire.
