Scott Walker hones his cultural pandering skills.
Scott Walker may be suffering in the polls and struggling to pass a budget in his home state of Wisconsin, but by gum he can still
use his position as governor to appeal to presidential primary voters in other states:
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) plans to sign two new laws on Wednesday that expand the rights of gun owners by removing a 48-hour waiting period for those looking to purchase a firearm and allowing off-duty or retired police officers to carry concealed weapons at public schools. [...]
He often brags in early-primary states like Iowa that his state now allows most of its residents to carry concealed firearms. Wisconsin has also enacted a so-called "castle doctrine" that provides some protections to homeowners who shoot intruders to their property.
Wisconsin: Where you can be shot by someone who got pissed and was able to buy a gun right away, by a retired cop in a school, or because you walk onto the wrong person's front porch. It's actually not a bad slogan for a Republican primary.
