I'm serious folks!
Governor Bobby Jindal, quite possibly the worst candidate for president in the field, has a
novel approach to being taken seriously:
"The Supreme Court is completely out of control, making laws on their own, and has become a public opinion poll instead of a judicial body. If we want to save some money lets just get rid of the court."
Ok, I think we all know that Article 3 of the Constitution is safe from being repealed. Bobby Jindal knows that too. I wont even entertain it a a serious proposal.
However, it is worth considering as a political strategy. Does Jindal really think that the conservative base is so angry and extreme that it would actually vote for him based on his advocacy of a Constitutional Amendment to abolish the Supreme Court? No, I don't think he does. Does he think there is a treasure chest full of campaign dollars waiting for him out there for which there is a map that reads 'Captain Nutcase' s Motherlode? 'No, don't think that's it either.
Bobby Jindal has only one plan here: Fox News Analyst and future AM radio talk show host. Rural Amway salesmen should take note: the voice of Bobby Jindal will be your friend and guide in the pickup truck. From Rhodes Scholar to Limbaugh grifter. Its all open road, and downhill from here.
